The focus of the Language and Neuroscience Group (LANG) is the study of brain-language relations — how language and other cognitive activities are processed and represented neurologically. We examine language and cognitive processing in healthy individuals, those individuals who have had a stroke and have resulting aphasia, and children with language impairments. We are also interested in evidence-based assessment and treatment of language disorders. This work has been primarily funded through NIH’s National Institute on Deafness and other Communication Disorders (NIDCD).
